Nara Walker offers a space for those who resonate with her expression and story; her art practice is often formed from an autobiographical point of view. Conveying difficult subjects such as; human behaviour, archetypes, sexuality, sensuality, intimate partner violence, and systematic mistreatment. Nara Walker explores the tension - resistance - freedom - triumph between these topics and the artists' mark. In so, commenting on social constructs and expressively referencing identity through varied mediums.
Nara Walker is an alumnus of Griffith University (QCA) Australia, she works as a multidisciplinary artist within structured chaos, channelling the spirit into a tactile space; painting and performance-based art are her main points of focus; her practice also draws upon writing, video-based art, photography and evocative drawing.
